Are Drones Still in their infancy stage?
Yes! Drones are still in their infancy stage in terms of mass adoption and usage, but what started as automatic, unmanned airplanes developed by the U.S. & France during World War 1 has broken through its military history and with it's increasing growth for it's usefulness, is now penetrating other industries.
The rules of the sky are strict and professional drone operation, much to many people’s surprise, is not something that can be delivered by just anyone. All pilots (with drones between 250 grams and 25 kilograms) also need a drone pilot certificate/license.
Drones are Considered Aircraft under the Aeronautics Act & Canadian Aviation Regulations makes the operator a pilot under Canadian Aviation Regulations. Transport Canada defines drones as Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) which uses can be agriculture, construction, mining, insurance inspections, police, pipeline and hydro line inspections, search and rescue operations, real estate marketing, survey mapping, environmental monitoring, disaster oversight, and so much more...
